Stories from our School of Nursing
Linfield University's Good Samaritan School of Nursing BSN and MSN prelicensure graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
The School of Nursing's Dean provides a comprehensive, step-by-step presentation on how to register for the NCLEX during the leadership course for all pre-licensure programs. This presentation focuses on meeting the Oregon State Board of Nursing's licensure requirements and is regularly updated to reflect current rules and regulations. Additionally, students seeking licensure outside of Oregon receive full guidance on navigating the licensure process in other states, states that offer full reciprocity and information about the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for multi-state practice privileges.
