Campus visits

We are happy to welcome prospective students to campus! We ask that you register for your visit 48 hours in advance with our online system, but we also accept walk-ins during weekday business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Please contact the Office of Admission at 503-883-2213 if you have any questions or need help scheduling your visit.

Most weekdays, we offer up to four small group tours. Individual tours may be available by contacting us at admission@linfield.edu or 503-883-2213. We have some Saturday tours during fall and spring semesters and they will be shown on the calendar when available.

Your visit may include:

•  Campus tour, led by an admission counselor or current student, with a discussion of academic programs, extracurricular activities, the admission process and next steps to enrollment. The tour should cover most of campus and the inside of several buildings, including but not limited to:
  • W.M. Keck Science Center
  • T.J. Day Hall (School of Business)
  • Riley Campus Center (Starbucks, student lounge and bookstore)
  • Walker Hall (International Programs Office and Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center)
  • Health, Human Performance and Athletics (athletic spaces)
  • Residence Hall Show Room (dorm room)
  • Nicholson Library (if time allows)
• Meeting with an admission counselor, if tour is led by current student
• Meeting with a financial aid counselor, for admitted and/or enrolling students who have received their financial aid offer
• Meeting with a professor
• Meeting with a coach

Group visits

We offer school- and organization-led group visits for high school-aged students and older. We can accommodate up to 30 students and require one adult chaperone for every 10 students. A group visit provides you and your students an opportunity to explore the benefits of a Linfield education and experience our beautiful campus. We are able to schedule a student or admission counselor-led campus tour and presentation with an admission counselor.

To request a group visit, please email admission@linfield.edu or call 503-883-2213 with at least two weeks' notice. Due to visit and staffing limitations, we may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Educational mentors

If you are a school counselor, transfer adviser, independent educational consultant or other educational mentor visiting campus on your own, please contact the Office of Admission at admission@linfield.edu regarding your interest.
