Meet Psychology Ambassador Rhysa Huffman ’27

Posted on 09.13.24 by Rhysa Huffman ’27 in College of Arts & Science

Hi! My name is Rhysa.Portrait of Rhysa Huffman.

I am a sophomore here at Linfield. I came to Linfield right after graduating from Marist Catholic High School in Eugene, Oregon. I chose Linfield because when I went on a tour it felt like home, the campus is so beautiful, and the people were so friendly I knew that I wanted to go here. I knew that Linfield would be a place where I could make a positive impact.

I chose psychology as my major because I've always been really curious about people and why we act in the ways that we do. I absolutely love reading, going for walks, and hanging out with my friends. The beginning of my freshman year was a struggle because I didn't know anyone but what I realized is that all I needed to do was put myself out there and get involved. Linfield has so many ways that you can get involved, all you have to do is ask around and someone will find something for you to join. After getting involved I met some amazing people and found my way to some great opportunities that let me have a creative outlet. My best advice is to take advantage of all that Linfield has to offer! Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I know how wild the transition from high school to college can be, but I would love to help in any way that I can!
